The collection consists of 90 original negatives and 90 contact prints of images of the Farewell to Revelle Party held in September 1964 at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography to honor Roger Revelle, who was leaving as Director of SIO to become head of the Center for Population Studies at Harvard University. The collection consists mainly of groups of individuals including Roger Revelle, Ellen Clark Revelle, Seibert Q. Duntley, Carl Henry Eckart, Denis L. Fox, Edward D. Goldberg, Carl Leavitt Hubbs, Martin Johnson, Nan Limbaugh, Judith Horton Munk, Walter H. Munk, Russell Raitt, Marston Sargent, Harold Urey and Herbert York.
